A la gabardina o trench ya le hemos hecho de todo, la hemos agrandado a base de patrones oversized, la hemos plastificado y estampado, la hemos reducido a su mínima expresión y ahora llega una vuelta de tuerca más, la gabardina chaleco, o trench sin mangas.

Que así a primera vista piensas: «¿Qué absurdo, no? Los brazos también se me mojan. Menos práctica imposible.» Pero mira por dónde qué es una pieza muy especial que aporta un rollo diferente a los looks.

Porque la historia del trench viene de antiguo, y ya no solo la usamos en días lluviosos de otoño o primavera.

Y la verdad que con este tiempo tan «raruno» el chaleco trench al estilo Inspector Gadget me parece hasta práctico. Porque lo mismo un día caen chuzos de punta, que otro hace un sol de justicia. Y lo que es peor, como ya cantaban los míticos Crowded House hay días en los que vives las cuatro estaciones en un solo día. 

No sé si será el cambio climático o el ciclo del planeta pero a nuevo clima nuevas prendas, como el new trench.

The New Trench

We have lately seen trench in all its versions, we have enlarged it based on oversized patterns, we have laminated and stamped it, we have reduced it to its minimum expression and now there comes a new twist, the trench vest, or trench without sleeves.

And at first first glance you think: What an absurd garment! Yes, my arms get wet too.» But this is a very special piece that brings a different twist to your outfits. Because the story of trench comes from old, and we no longer only use it on rainy days of autumn or spring.

And the truth is that weather is getting crazy, and Gadget Inspector style trenchcoat seems practical to me now. Because the same thing one day it heavily rains, another it is strongly sunny. And what is worse, as the mythical Crowded House already sang, there are days when you live the «Four seasons in one day»

I do not know if it will be climate change or the cycle of the planet but, new climate means new garments, like the new trench.
