Studio 54, quizás el local de alterne más famoso del mundo. El que durante los 70 y parte de los 80 congregaba lo mismo a artistas como Andy Warhol, a modistos como YSL o músicos como Jagger.

Studio 54 era sinónimo de libertad, de baile y de desenfreno. 

Se inauguró en el año 1977 cuando Carmen D’Alessio, la relaciones públicas de Valentino, convenció a Steve Rubell y su amigo Ian Schrager para que montaran un club en este antiguo estudio de grabación de la calle 54  en Manhattan, Nueva York. Construido en forma de teatro se dice que en sus palcos y baños se vivían tórridos romances. 

Sus dueños consiguieron congregar allí a la gente cool de Nueva York (artistas, cantantes, modelos, actores) junto con un montón de anónimos que se congregaban a sus puertas cada noche  para ver si tenían la suerte de ser elegidos y entrar a sus míticas fiestas.

Studio 54 fue uno de los primeros locales en los que la noche neoyorquina no segregaba entre heterosexuales y homosexuales.

Desde Liza Minelli a Cher, Truman Capote o Basquiat; allí se bailaba, se bebía y se consumía cocaina salvajemente.  

Nadie olvida la imagen de Bianca Jagger entrando sobre un caballo blanco en la fiesta de su trigesimo cumpleaños.

Los looks de Studio 54 eran pura libertad y sofisticación, desde Liza Minelli en frac, o Cher en vaqueros, hasta los famosos vestidos dorados de lamé de Jerry Hall.  Todo acompañado por la música disco de Diana Ross, Tracy Jones o Gloria Gaynor.

Hoy os traigo mi propia versión, un look perfecto para pasar una noche loca en el mítico Studio 54, o para Nochevieja . Pantalones palazzo, jersey de lurex , plataformas de taconazo y bien de «oros» (en plan hurraca)

Studio 54, perhaps the most famous night club in the world. The one that during the 70’s and part of the 80’s congregated the same thing artists like Andy Warhol, dressmakers like YSL or musicians like Jagger.

Studio 54 was synonymous with freedom, dancing and debauchery.

It was inaugurated in 1977 when Carmen D’Alessio, Valentino’s public relations manager, convinced Steve Rubell and his friend Ian Schrager to set up a legendary club in this former recording studio on 54th Street in Manhattan, New York. Built as a theater, it is said that in its boxes and bathrooms torrid romances were lived.

Their owners managed to gather the coolest people in New York (artists, singers, models, actors) along with a bunch of anonymous people who gathered at their doors every night to see if they were lucky enough to be elected to enjoy their mythical parties.

Studio 54 was one of the first places where the New York night did not segregate between heterosexuals and homosexuals.

From Liza Minelli to Cher, Truman Capote or Basquiat; there, they danced, drank and consumed cocaine wildly.

Nobody forgets the image of Bianca Jagger entering on a white horse at the party of her thirtieth birthday.

The looks of Studio 54 was pure freedom and sophistication, from Liza Minelli in tailored suit, or Cher in jeans, to the famous Jerry Hall golden dresses of lamé. All accompanied by the disco music of Diana Ross, Tracy Jones or Gloria Gaynor.

Today I bring you my own version, a perfect look to spend a crazy night in the mythical Studio 54, or New Year’s Eve. Palazzo pants, lurex pullover, heel platforms and lots of gold.
