Cantaban The Chordettes, allá por los 50’s. Nadie podía resistirse a bailar sus canciones cantadas a capela.

Resulta que la semana pasada estuve buceando en los armarios de mi madre en busca de inspiración y piezas vintage y encontré este maravilloso mono de topos blancos.

Mi madre tenía un montón de primas así que mucha de su ropa no llegó a nosotras. (Quién le iba a decir que iba a tener tres hijas y una de ellas friki de la moda y del vintage) Es una pena porque como ya os dije fue, y es, muy estilosa. Pero mira por dónde este mono se quedó en su armario, hasta que llegué yo y lo encontré. ¡Qué suerte la mía! Y en la misma percha estaba este cinturón (no es de los 80, qué va)

Me lo probé y pensé que me hacía un poco culona, pero y qué, si siempre he tenido culo, no lo vamos a esconder a estas alturas de la película. Fue ponérmelo y no querer quitármelo, su tela es supersuave y fresca, y al quedarme algo grande voy como en pijama. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

Instantáneamente pensé en los años 50, en las camareras con patines y batidos de helado de vainilla y Dr. Pepper al más estilo americano (Sé que suena fatal pero esta mezcla está buenísima), en las tortitas con sirope de arce, que me flipan, y en banana splits. En cafés con suelo de linóleo ajedrezado y en colores rosas y verdes pastel acompañados de cromados, en Cadillacs lustrosos y zapatos bicolores.

Así que definitivamente el look ha quedado muy años 50, y no podía dejar de ir acompañado de unas grandes gafas de acetato y labios en rojo.

Sang The Chordettes, the mythical female musical band of the 50’s that made everyone madly dancing.

It turns out that last week I was diving in my mom’s closet for inspiration and vintage pieces and I found this wonderful jumpsuit with white dots.

My mother had a lot of cousins ​​so most of her clothes did not reach us. (She could even imagine that she was going to have three daughters and one of them a fashion and vintage geek) It’s a shame because, as I told you, she was, and is, very stylish. But hey! this jumpsuit stayed in her closet, until I came and I found it. How lucky I am! And on the same hanger was this belt (No need to say it is from the 80’s)

Once I tried it I thought it made me a big bottom, but what if I always had a «not small» bottom, impossible to hide it. The jumpsuit fabric is super soft and fresh, and fits me oversized so it is like going in pajamas, supercomfy. What more can I ask for?

I instantly thought of the 50s, skaters waitresses and shakes of vanilla ice cream and Dr. Pepper to the more American style (I know it sounds horrible but this mixture tastes very good), pancakes with maple syrup (OMG), and banana splits. In cafés with checkered linoleum floor and pastel pink and green colors accompanied by chrome, in glossy Cadillacs and bicolor shoes.

Definitely this look is totally a 50’s look, so it needed big acetate glasses and, of course, red lips.
