Mi amiga María se ha casado ¿Pero qué me estas contando? Como lo oyes,  Maggie se casó.

Maggie, espíritu libre, ciudadana del mundo que lo mismo vive en Londres 8 años que 3 en Ecuador, se ha casado. Estas son las cosas que la hacen especial: Mente abierta, jamás prejuzga, tiene amigos en medio mundo. Y va la tía que pasa de bodorrios, de ser el centro de atención y de organizar nada (miento, le encanta organizar para los demás) y se casa.

Ella, con la que bailabas Take That en el recreo, con la que lloraste abrazada porque el concierto de Smashing Pumpkins coincidía con la selectividad, esa con la que has viajado por medio mundo, lo mismo a Costa Rica que a Japón y en ese viaje consiguió que hasta le cogieras afecto a Hello Kitty ¡Se ha casado!

Y lo ha hecho en Ecuador, que es donde actualmente reside, y te ha avisado con nada más y nada menos que un mes de antelación, por eso de que te dé tiempo a preparar, no me refiero al outfit no, sino a comprar billetes, buscar alojamiento, pedir vacaciones en el trabajo (eso era lo más complicado del tema) y tú claro sabes que tienes que estar, lo primero porque quieres estar allí en ese día tan especial y lo segundo porque se lo debes, ella fue la única invitada a vuestra boda en NY (¿Qué os casasteis dónde? Esto os lo contaré otro día)

Con ella has crecido, has reído y llorado, habéis ligado juntas, sufrido, madurado (sobre esto último albergo serias dudas) y zampado un millón de gominolas. Sus padres son también un poco tus padres y sus amigos se han convertido en tus amigos (Luz, Pablo, María…)

Te quiero y os deseo lo mejor, y «sin que suene a amenza» JC como le hagas daño voy yo y te arreo.

A efectos modiles deciros que el outfit que elegí lo hice rebuscando en el armario y con más de una cosilla prestada (gracias Noe y Barbi), todavía las tiendas tipo Zara o Mango no habían recibido ropa de fiesta y la que encontré no resultó ser de mi agrado, además quise llevarme sólo un outfit aunque la boda se celebró en dos tiempos, por la mañana ceremonia civil y comida, por la noche cena y fiesta. Me habían prestado unas sandalias de fiesta preciosas a juego con mi clutch pero el día comenzó lloviendo y preferí llevar el pie cerrado. ¿¡Y qué más da!? Lo más importante es haber estado y que la que tenía que estar imponente, que lo estaba, con su vestidazo rojo de CH era ella ¡Por Dios, cuánta belleza!

My friend Maria married last week.  Seriously? I promise, Maggie is now married.

Maggie, a free spirit, a citizen of the world who can live in London during 8 years and 3 years in Ecuador, she has been married. These are the things that make her special: Open minded, she never prejudges, she has friends all around the world, and suddenly she, who does’nt like weddings and hates to be in the center of attention and organizing (well, sinceresly she loves to organize for others) she got married.

She, with whom you danced Take That at school playtime, with whom you cried, who you embraced because Smashing Pumpkins concert was the nigth before of your university acces exam, with whom you have traveled around the world, the same to Costa Rica as Japan and in that trip she got you to likefor Hello Kitty! She’s married!

The wedding was held in Ecuador where she is currently living, and she has invited you only one month in advance,  no problem with the outfit, but  we needed time to buy tickets, look for accommodation, ask for a vacation at work (that was the most complicated ) and you clearly know that you have to be there, first because you want to be on such a special day and second because you owe it, she was the only one invited to your wedding in NY (What? Did you get married in NY? Are you kidding? This, I will tell you another day)

You have grown together, you have laughed and cried, you have flirted together, suffered, matured (in case we did) and eaten a million of jelly beans. Her parents have become almost your parents and her friends have become your friends (Luz, Pablo, María …)

I love you and I wish you the best, and without sounding threatening, JC if you do her any damage I will go for you, I promised.

For the party I combined some old clothes and some borrowed things (thanks Noe and Barbi), besides I wanted to take only an outfit although the wedding was held in two times, morning civil ceremony and lunch, evening dinner and party. I had been given some lovely party sandals to match with my clutch but the day started raining and I preferred to wear something warmer. But the most important thing was to be there in such a special day and that Maria was so beatiful in his red CH dress. Oh my God! She was gorgeous!
