La gabardina, esa prenda súperversátil para entretiempo que lo mismo queda bien con vaqueros y zapatillas que con traje, nació nada más  y nada menos que para abrigar al ejército británico durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. Trench en la lengua de Shakespeare significa trinchera. (Ohhhh)

Fue el propio Thomas Burberry quien suministró esta prenda al ejército británico durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. A su regreso de las trincheras los soldados siguieron usándola en su vida diaria.

Qué Hollywood la utilizase como vestuario base del cine negro y que Humphrey Bogart la luciera en “Casablanca” y más tarde Audrey Hepburn en “Desayuno con diamantes” hizo que el resto de los mortales la deseáramos en nuestros armarios.

De tejido impermeable, abrigada y preparada para las «batalla diarias». La capa trasera tiene la función de que el agua no caiga por la espalda, el cinturón con anillas para colgar armas y útiles para los soldados.

No sufráis, si no llega para una auténtica Burberry esta de Massimo Dutti sienta genial y tiene un montón de detalles (y encima de rebajas)

Hollywood used it as the base costumes for Black Cinema, remember Humphrey Bogart in «Casablanca» and later on Audrey Hepburn in «Breakfast at Tiffany’s», these facts made the rest of the mortals want one in our closets.

Made of waterproof fabric, warm and prepared for «daily battles». The back layer has the function that water does not fall down the back, the belt with rings to hang weapons and useful for soldiers.

Don’t panic if you can’t buy an authentic Burberry, this one from Massimo Dutti fits great and has a lot of details (and now is on sales)
